Our client is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative. This role will be focused on driving the sale and development of utility-grade onsite power generation solutions tailored to data centers and mission-critical facilities. Our solutions accelerate time to energization, unlock grid capacity where utilities fall short, and deliver scalable generation paired with medium-voltage infrastructure to keep projects on schedule.

Position Overview

As a key driver of growth, you will identify, cultivate, and close new business opportunities with data center developers and operators. You will own the full sales cycle — from prospecting through contract negotiation and deal close — while positioning onsite generation and power delivery solutions that help clients overcome grid limitations, compress energization timelines, and ensure reliable capacity for mission-critical infrastructure.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary of $175,000-200,000 + uncapped commission
  • 3 weeks PTO

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business relationships within the data center and mission-critical infrastructure market
  • Sell utility-grade onsite generation solutions (natural gas and dual-fuel plants sized 10–20 MW+), tailored to data center capacity and reliability requirements
  • Lead opportunity qualification, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure
  • Translate complex customer power needs into customized solutions that pair onsite generation with medium voltage power delivery strategies
  • Educate clients on grid challenges — including long interconnection lead times and capacity limitations — and position onsite power generation as a credible path to capacity and reliability
  • Support long-lead equipment planning by integrating insights on medium voltage infrastructure requirements into the sales process
  • Collaborate closely with internal engineering, project management, and solution design teams to ensure accurate solution definition and execution readiness
  • Partner with utility stakeholders, developers, and construction teams to support integrated power delivery strategies that align with charging schedules and energization milestones

Qualifications

  • Track record of selling multi-million-dollar projects with long sales cycles
  • Experience owning end-to-end commercial negotiations and contracts
  • Demonstrated experience developing or selling generation or power delivery projects to data centers, hyperscalers, or other mission-critical clients
  • Familiarity with key technical concepts including medium voltage infrastructure, utility interconnection, and onsite generation deployment
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic sales skills
  • Ability to navigate complex procurement and approval processes with utilities, developers, and third-party stakeholders
