Bemana is hiring for an Electric Motor Shop Manager in Corpus Christi, TX for a major player in the industrial motor, sales and service space. They service customers in a variety of industries (metal recycling, mining, manufacturing, etc.) across the Southwest.
As the Electric Motor Shop Manager, you’d be responsible for overseeing the safe repair of various electrical/mechanical equipment including diagnostic troubleshooting, disassembly/re-assembly, measurement, data collection, failure analysis, repair and testing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and ensure all quotes for repairs and manufacturing times are correct and carried out.
- Oversee initial evaluation of equipment to determine operation or run condition.
- Review Records testing and trouble shooting information on applicable forms.
- Oversee equipment maintaining identification of each component part, labeling and/or photographing as necessary.
- Oversee the determination and documentation of cause of failure.
- Direct dismantled equipment to appropriate workgroups for applicable repairs or clean up.
- Oversee cleaned, repaired and/or replacement parts from other work groups that performed re-assembly and final testing per Customer, EASA and/or OEM.
- Document final testing on applicable forms.
- Read and produce blueprint drawings and illustrations to assist employees within the department.
- Schedule and prioritize all work to be performed by employees.
- Compile and review all repair data prior to completing and closing jobs.
- Comply with all company memos and distribute appropriate information to department personnel.
- Direct department personnel and other service center personnel in proper safety procedures including PPE.
- Direct or provide all on-the-job training for employees in the department.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and staff.
- Minimum of 5+ years relevant work experience in an industrial setting.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in electrical/mechanical repair or servicing or completion of accredited EASA training program.
- Working knowledge of mechanical repair and fabrication on pumps, gearboxes and motors.
- Knowledgeable in welding and fabrication.
