Responsibilities

  • Research and identify the location of used engines per customer request, throughout the world.
  • Determine the value and feasibility of equipment prior to purchasing.
  • Analyze engines, opportunity for resale, and profitability prior to purchasing.
  • Maximize Company profit on all used engine purchases, while understanding the needs of the customer.
  • Remain current on the used engine market in order to maximize sales
  • Plan sales call activities to maximize sales opportunities and to identify buyers for used engines.
  • Evaluate used engine and determine any needed repairs/reconfiguration to meet market or customer demand.
  • Establish a professional, positive working relationship with customers, support personnel and sales management.
  • Create marketing plans, basic marketing and financial analysis of opportunities, cost structures and profitability ratios.
  • Work as part of a team.
  • Manage expenses related to sales activities, practice expense control, and submit expenses, and expense reports, on a timely basis.

Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn to effectively use company software – with training.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
  • A thorough understanding of the terminology related to engines, understanding of used engines throughout the world, where to find, how to get, who needs, and how to sell it.
  • Familiarity with forecasting, ordering, inventories control and terms management. Strong motivation and self- starting initiative is required.
