We are recruiting a highly motivated Generator Technician for a well-established power generation company in Boston, MA. This field-based role focuses on servicing commercial and industrial standby generators, including preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable backup power for critical customers.
Position Offers

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control system issues

Conduct load bank testing and system performance verification

Replace major components including starters, alternators, controllers, and fuel system components

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) on commercial and industrial generator systems
-
Respond to service calls and support emergency power restoration when needed

Communicate clearly with customers while representing the company in the field
Requirements

3-5+ years of generator experience preferred

Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems

Desire to work independently in a field service environment

Customer-facing professionalism and strong communication skills

Must supply personal hand tools required for mechanical service work
