We are looking for an Operations Manager in Hendersonville, NC to join a global leader with a century-long legacy of innovation that is currently expanding into the high-growth AI data center and microgrid markets. This specialized division is building a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in North Carolina dedicated to creating cutting-edge power generation systems. We are looking for a creative, nimble problem solver with excellent people skills to build the operations team for this greenfield site and drive breakthrough solutions from day one.
Position Offers:
- Up to $170,000 base salary + bonus opportunities. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Responsibilities:
- Recruit, mentor, and empower a growing production team by providing continuous coaching, direction, and feedback to ensure successful performance.
- Foster a people-centric culture focused on positive employee relations, high engagement, and a safe work environment.
- Lead the planning, design, and optimization of manufacturing processes according to lean management guidelines to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Accountable for the full production lifecycle, including safety, talent development, delivery, cost, and quality for all assembly and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop forecasts and budgets, while participating in the review of new product designs to maximize profitability and minimize start-up timelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing or engineering-related field; an MBA is preferred.
- At least 10 years of industrial product manufacturing experience, specifically within operations.
- Proven track record as a coach and mentor, with the ability to convey technical knowledge and empower others to succeed.
- Strong technical skills in lean manufacturing processes and proficiency with project management and business acumen.
- Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
- A commitment to rigorous safety standards and a willingness to perform other duties as needed to support a successful facility launch.
