Bemana is helping our client find an Engineering Manager to join their growing team. They’re a cutting-edge organization that offers unparalleled expertise in precision-machined, complex metal components manufacturing for their customers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee all engineering related duties and responsibilities.
- Oversee all employees working within the engineering department to make sure work is being completed efficiently and effectively and that deadlines are being met.
- Report any pertinent information and/or details to upper management as needed.
- Responsible for completing and maintaining part programs.
- Initiate development of new products being launched.
- Work with Operations to carry out part sampling process.
- Work with Operations to carry out fixture builds.
- Work with Operations to carry out new tooling implementation.
- Review and approve all part quotes before being submitted for quoting to customer.
- Work with Operations and Maintenance on new machine installs.
- Manage facility layout and machine placement.
- Research and make recommendations for CapEx purchases.
- Review, assess and determine ways to make process improvements.
- Oversee all modeling and drawing development as well as revision changes with internal drawings.
- Oversee and approve all fixture designs.
- Work with employees within the department to create work instructions when applicable.
- Responsible for overseeing all robotic/automation integration and troubleshooting when necessary.
- Ensure quality processes and procedures are being followed in accordance with ISO/AS QMS and that employees are performing at the levels of expectation established by the department.
- Responsible for overseeing all tooling implementation, tooling changes and tooling management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelors’ degree in the field of engineering.
- Proven experience in engineering management within a manufacturing environment.
- Advanced knowledge of computer programming and geometric tolerances and dimensions in the field of engineering.
- Detailed knowledge and proficiency in set-up, operation and programming of CNC machines.
- 5+ years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Detailed knowledge of mill CNC controls, including multi axis machine centers and ability to learn and adapt to every changing technology.
- Must have working knowledge of various tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars and inserts used on various machines.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
