Bemana is searching for experienced Overhead Crane Technicians in the greater Chicago, IL area to join a leader in the crane industry for over 45 years. Main service areas include Northern IL, Southern WI, and Northwest IN.
Position Offers:
- $30/hr – $45/hr + OT opportunity. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on overhead cranes preferred.
- The ability to trouble-shoot 230/460VAC 3 phase motors and controls.
- Must have experience and be well versed in 3 phase motor controls
- Must be skilled, proficient, experienced, competent, and capable with a multi-meter.
- Knowledge of AC/DC theory.
- Mechanical ability and aptitude.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Commitment to Safety.
- Able to work at heights.
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and on call rotation as required.
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical including a drug and alcohol test.
- Must have a valid driver’s license (CDL not required).
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on overhead cranes and crane components at various customer’s locations.
- Troubleshoot/ diagnose electrical, mechanical, and structural issues.
- Conduct inspections on overhead cranes and components to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Communicate inspection findings, equipment deficiencies, safety issues, and corrective actions with customers.
- Use an iPad to complete service reports, time sheets, take photos, and complete other documents accurately.
